The Origin of Darts

Originally, the tree is used as a dartboard. The first name for the dart game is butt. In French, butte means target. The Yorkshire dartboard and Perrigo Manchestor Log End board is different from the standard board because it only has the double and bullseye. The Perrigo Manchestor Log End board is smaller compare to the Yorkshire dartboard. The double areas of the Perrigo Manchestor Log End board have a diameter of 25 cm while the bull areas have a diameter of 4mm. The London Fives board has twelve segments. The doubles and tripes are 1.25 cm wide.

The standard numbering of the dartboard was invented by Brian Gamlin. Later, Brian’s layout was re-modified into different plans in several countries. The numbering plan which was invented by Brian to prevent inaccuracy.

There are 20 sections on the traditional dartboard. Each section can bring 1 point to the player. The section joined to the smaller central circle and large circle on the outside. The Yorkshire dartboard which is exhibited on the Indoor League television show did not have a triple section.

Since a long time ago, men have used the dartboard to play all kinds of games. Points is obtained by hitting the dart on one of the numbered sections including the large portions of all the numbered sections, thin outer portion of the numbered sections and the thin inner portion for the numbered sections. A dart that hits in the green outer ring circle will be rewarded is 25 points. A dart that hits in the red inner circle is worth 50 points. If the player hit outside of the wire, he will not be rewarded with point. If the dart did not stuck into the board, the player will also not be rewarded with point. The player can achieve a maximum of 180 points. The highest score is achieved when the player manage to throw all three darts in triple 20
